Ooh, this could be a nice event. Can you clarify if this will be a real set? Just wondering what "appearance" means. Regardless, kudos to the FA gang for scoring this one!

Living in Vegas sometimes has it's advantages: I got to see ME play for FREE (you heard me right) on Fremont Street, about 5-6 years ago. They rocked. Everyone looked @ them like they were freaks, and I think most of the people who were standing there watching, didnt know anything by them except MWY. They did "Someone's Calling"(My favorite ME song), and I was happy for the rest of the night. They were really good, but the crowd seemed disinterested.

They should be touring w/The Psychedelic Furs instead of the Happy Mondays.

They will be playing a full acoustic (I believe) set.

They are promoting their new album.

****
Due to circumstances beyond our control, I regret to say that the FA 10 Year Anniversary Party at the Studio @ Webster Hall in NYC scheduled for Friday, 7/31 has been canceled.

We regret any inconvenience that this may cause anyone.

There is more information on the FA website (www.flashbackalternatives.com).

Again, we are truly sorry.

I was looking forward to it too - but there seems to be an issue between who owns the rights to the name Modern English, their music, etc. which I was unaware of - so it was best for FA and Webster Hall to cancel to avoid any legal issues.

We are hoping to find a place to do an FA Holiday Party in December.

Will keep you posted.
