Proof will be in the pudding when somebody actually listens to these bloody things and reports back that the errors have been fixed. Till then i won't be touching them with a barge pole.

And you may want to see what (if any) kind of replacement offer the label comes up with. If you just have to send in photos, I would buy the originals, seeing as the replacements don't have the outer plastic slip, but do have a UPC sticker on the cardboard (which may or may not take part of the cardboard with it if you try to peel it off).

I've received the same email. Will they be sending the 2 cd sets, or just the individual re-re-mastered disks?

moni - the UK re-remasters came out in late July I believe. We received a copy of PCL. In order to tell the difference, you'd actually have to look at the matrix number on Disc 2. check previous pages of this thread for more details. the matrix number on the re-remasters ends in V02, i believe. V02=Version 2. The original press (the mis-masters) end in V01.
cheers!

There are only two listed on amazon as being released in June this year Brotherhood and Movement no sign of the others. The reviews for these are still dating back to last year and there is no indication that these are fixed versions. I would like to buy these from Ideal Copy but i quite simply cannot afford too with import duty and all that crap i got stung with that U2 box set last year and had to pay an extra £20 before i could pick the bloody thing up from the post office. As i said before i only saw the two listed on amazon and I'm not even going to bother ordering them as there will be a 99% chance they will send me the old one.

Are the Rhino folks retarded? They must be, as I've sent them 3 emails asking if the replacement discs have been sent out, and received nothing. They claimed they would be sending them out on Aug 25th(when they were supposedly "available(in stock)", but that seems to have been a farce.

Has anyone received any replacement discs for these yet, other than Ideal Copy?

No I have not received my replacements yet either. They seem to be either quite disorganized with this replacement offer.
I received this email almost 2 weeks ago on August 30, 2009.

"The corrected replacement discs have recently arrived, so we will begin shipping them out this week. I will notify you when your replacements ship.

Thank you for your patience and if you have any questions, please let me know."

I still have not received any notification or discs.... anyone else??

i pre-ordered a set of the replacement new order discs in early august. even though their site said the street date was 8/25, they went ahead and shipped me the wrong/ defective ones. idiots. i returned them. total nightmare. once they finally credited my card, the next day i ordered the entire set from the ideal copy (should have done that in the first place, as they don't bungle things like this). cost me $15 less (including shipping + no tax) and i had the correct re-reissues within a couple of days. thoroughly impressed. will never buy from rhino's site again, even if they offer something totally cool. abysmal customer service - steer clear is my advice!

Did anyone else living in the US buy the discs from the UK when it first came out? How does the replacement process work for this? This is how I bought mine.

I bought the UK imports too and I was wondering the same thing. I'm sure it would be a daunting task to get those replaced here. I'm even willing to re-purchase the corrected versions, however, as I asked early in this thread, before I invest in these I'd like to know what they mean by "corrected." Did they manage to find all the original master tapes? Or did they just clean the pops and clicks from the same sources?

Are you folks ready for this horseshit? They send me the second discs of the "corrected" versions today. They're only the second disc of each set, they come in white, thin paper sleeves, and then send me a friggin Rhino sticker, as their way of saying "whoops". ALL of the discs, 1 &2 of each set are messed up. Why didn't they just send me the sets in corrected versions, and not have to fu&* things up?

Jebus these people are friggin stupid.

That is exactly what they said they would send. Here is a portion of the email I received from "Dr Rhino"

"Please note: Our production department has recently reminded me that, in accordance with our initial statement, only the bonus discs of each New Order reissue have been corrected. The exception to this is disc one of Technique."
