WoW! Wow! Wow! I just downloaded this today and I am blown away! I almost feel like I'm listening to a modern version of Medusa. In so many ways this new album harkens back to the original dark stuff they used to do. If you are a fan of them I highly recommend this release!

Wow, you really think so? I was very disappointed with the new album. To me, it just sounded like yet another electroclash nu-goth release, similiar to the last 2-3 albums. Ronny can still pen the occasional good melody, but their gothy club anthems are just not that good to my ears. The 4AD years and Twist Of Shadows are still as good as it gets. I do like some of the newer stuff, but it's very hit-and-miss with them now. I don't hear the modern comparison to Medusa myself, but who knows. Maybe I need to play it more, but I don't hear anything that reminds me of Medusa.

OK OK maybe I was a little(just a little) too excited about this one. The Medusa reference was to Sea Of Doubt. I am likening this album to more like Hidden Faces but better. I am enjoying every track on the album. I think they'll gradually continue to move more towards the 4AD stuff, which like yourself is my favorites and still get alot of rotation in my ears. I can only hope alot of their younger fans get exposed to the 4AD stuff as those albums were the roots of what is their sound today.
