Does Anyone Like The Boston Band Freezepop?

Postby newwavepopman » Tue Sep 08, 2009 1:03 pm

I have every one of their CD's and I like their style and sound. They remind me of some other band from the 80's but I can't figure who the girl singer sounds like right now.Maybe a little like the girl lead singer from The Flying Lizards. They played here in Florida about 3 weeks ago and did a live show outside and I went to see them and they were very good, and had the crowd in the palm of their hands.

They played at a club called Respectable Street (named after the XTC song) who were celebrating 25 years of being a club. And they were one of the main acts.I also liked a new group called The Mission Veho who sound a lot like A Flock Of Seagulls.I wish they had a CD out but they don't yet.

I also heard this song on FNX .Reminds me of Shiny Toy Guns and a bit like the B-52's.

I have a few songs like Robotron 2000, Tired, etc. Not bad. They are indeed quirky. Brainpower sounds a bit different than these.
