Pet Shop Boys "Christmas EP"

Pet Shop Boys "Christmas EP"

Not really a full 'christmas' themed track listing, but they've recorded a studio version of the concert gave mashup of Coldplay and Domino Dancing with major electro producer Stuart Price.

I could do without a new version, but the only place I've ver "had" to hear it is when I actually play it at Christmas time. I've never heard it on radio. I'm a fan of synthpop and new wave Christmas songs.

Maybe I'm in the minority but the original "It Doesn't Often Snow..." is one of my favorite new wave Christmas songs. It's available on Elton John's Christmas Party CD, from 2005, originally a Starbucks-only release but now easily found used and cheap.

It Doesn't Often Snow at Christmas was a fan club only release originally. I would say 1997-98. I never knew about the Starbucks compilation though. Pretty cool. Nice that the track will be available to a wider audience and in a new mix too.

yeah, I scored that Starbucks CD that year. Was excited to get a holiday song from them. So glad that this year, after almost a 25 year wait, i finally was able to get We Three Kings by Book of Love in hard format on the reissue CD!
