The Cure 'Disintegration' 3CD reissue

Thank You for posting this! I've felt nothing but repulsion for Robert Smith after firing his 2 LONG TERM bandmates through an
email. I guess the bigger you get.........?

It's available to pre order on Amazon now for £33.49. They can shove that where the sun doesn't shine.

on the "Mixed Up" CD, I know all their older songs are heinous remixes, but aren't all the tracks from Disintegration the original 12" versions? I know Fascination Street is because I had the CD single of that.

Yep, the Disintegration tracks are the original 12"'s, as is "Hot Hot Hot." I thought the other remixes were good (well, "The Walk" was just OK) with the exception of "Inbetween Days," which was just an awful trend-of-the-moment remix.

What makes it even more strange is that In Between Days mix was done by William Orbit who is not exactly well known for producing crappy remixes.

I always wished there had been an original 12" version of the Walk when it was first released, because it's one of my favorite Cure songs. I believe that The Walk was the song that they had to go back into the studio and rerecord as close to note for note as possible to the ORIGINAL version before having it remixed for Mixed Up because the original master was nowhere to be found. Does that story sound familiar to anyone?

I don't know about "The Walk," but I'm pretty sure they did that for "A Forest."

I'm partial the mix of 'The Walk' that I posted for everyone, but that's just me. If they do do a 'Mixed Up 2' at some point as has been mentioned, I would think they would have to include all of the original mixes up through 'Never Enough' for fans on a bonus disc or two, otherwise what's the point?

Seek out the Razormaid Mix (DJ-only remix service). It's a great re-edit of the original version, making it more DJ/club-friendly while retaining it's original flavor (meaning no trendy drum machine/synthy keyboard overdubs!)

PS -- Just did a quick search myself and discovered that Razormaid did an updated remix based on the more contemporary remixes. This is decent too, but I'm recommending their first remix, from the Class-X series.

okay so i found 2 mixes - a 6 min+ ultra sound giant econo family deluxe mix of the (original?) razormaid mix and a dreamtime mix of it, but not the 4:44 long original razormaid mix, unless i want to shell out several hundred dollars for a box set i don't want or need that has it. razormaid isn't selling it, and since it's a boot, no one else is either. i'm sure some of you have it - if you want to post it, that would be great.
