I was hoping that w/this "delay", they would FINALLY come to their senses, and give us what we REALLY WANTED with this release: Mixed up(remade/remixed), bonus tracks/mixes/extendeds, and possibly some videos. No, what do we get? more of those F&^%N shitty demo's. Why do they keep doing this?

I'll keep my current cd, and opt not to buy this piece of shit.

I totally agree with what you are saying and i think it would be wise to keep your original CD as it will no doubt sound better than this new remastered one which will more than likely be over compressed to hell if the previous remasters are anything to go by. Wouldn't it have been a better idea as it looks as if they have no interest in releasing remixes or their b sides again on these bonus discs to have just made this a double instead of including the disc with the crappy demo versions on it which most people will probably only listen to once and then it will be as useful as a coaster. Worryingly Wish should be next and it will probably get the same shitty treatment with those crap demo versions.[:(]

Yep, agree with you too. I dont understand why Robert keeps doing this? He ruined Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss me with those shitty demo's, as he has all of their other releases w/demo's. THEY DO NOT SOUND GOOD, is that so hard to understand? There's a reason they're called "demo's" and that they didnt make it into the finished product: they weren't good enough to be included the first time?

My all time favorite Cure disc....and he has to go and ruin it? I don't understand this. He'd have made a killing had he just re-released it w/the stuff I mentioned above...thats what we REALLY want, not the "demo's" garbage. Yep..Ill save my dough, not falling for this again.

So is the "In Orange" DVD supposed to come out at the same time as this or is this just a planned release?

no news on that one... as it is always the case with such releases (+ rumoured ones) by The Cure, believe it when it is finally out... In Orange has been rumoured to be released on dvd a couple of times now, hopefully at least this time it will happen...

I sent a little response to this news. Thanks SUEB, someone wanna bet me it doesnt make it through "moderation"? Rhino is hilarious. They wont take any criticism, but praise? thats fine...unreal. They wont put my response up there for all to see......I dare them to, but they wont.

<br>No doubt this will be compressed to hell like the previous remasters have been. I have no doubt to get the DVD you will have to buy the super deluxe edition which will probably cost in excess of £20 which seems to be the trend now. On the subject of the b sides and as a few people have pointed out they do appear on the Join The Dots box well Duran Duran seem to be putting everything that has appeared on their singles box sets on their remasters so there is no excuse why The Cure couldn't have done this as well instead of wasted discs full of crappy demo versions and i mean crap some of them are barely even listenable. Let's just hope this rumour of there being a Mixed Up 2 being released is true.
[/quote]

I so agree with you...Im SERIOUSLY thinking of trading in my remasters for the originals, now that I've heard what the new ones sound like. Hugely disappointed w/the way they turned out.

IMO, we should all go to the Slicing Eyeballs site(for this Dis release), and leave our opinions on it, and thje other releases so far? they seem fixated on churning out shitty versions of these, that are compressed to hell. If enough people bitch, they may just fix them, like they did w/New Order?

It certainly couldn't hurt. Lets hope the folks @ Cherry Red aren't involved w/these Cure re-masters?
