Shout Out Louds in 2010

Postby Frau_Blucher » Wed Dec 02, 2009 1:27 am

One of the most new wave bands out there, and unabashedly in my top 3 of the decade because of it. New album Work due out Feb 23rd. At Brooklyn's Williamburg Music on March 1st...conveniently close to the week of SXSW. [:p]

Demo of first single...

Listening through the album now. I am getting so jacked up for the 3/1 gig. I don't know if there's anyone right now doing better perfect guitar pop.

I say that this was a fantastic show without the slightest bit of hyperbole. Shout Out Louds are definitely my most joyous band to see live - amazingly energetic, fabulous pop craft, and absolutely life-affirming. Just found out they're playing Pianos tonight, March 2nd. I am so so tempted to trek all the way back to NYC for this. I would highly recommend anyone in the area who even likes a hint of new wave-inflected pop to get to this gig. I believe NYCTaper will be there as well.

Here's a live, acoustic version. Everything sounds fantastic when it's played acoustically.

Here's video from Monday night of "Impossible". Really happy with the way this turned out. Follow the link and watch in 720p HD if you can...

nice footy Mike! Whos the girl claiming she requested the song at the beginning? Sounds like she's right next to the taper.

That's actually from another mic location closer to the stage. That guy and I decided that she should have been shot.
