<br>Good track listings but disappointed to see the 7" mixes of the singles from Diamond not there, especially the Trevor Horn version of Instinction.
I think that might be the disc 2 so called 12" version, there never was an extended version of the Trevor Horn mix (sadly - imagine how great that would have been!). So I'm guess the version on disc 1 is from the Diamond box set and the one on disc 2 is the single version.

Remember the 2 studio versions of Instinction on the Reformation box? "Richard Burgess version" is likely the album version while the 6:57 12" version was credited to Trevor Horn but strangely doesn't sound much like the remix we are familiar with.. probably the remix on the Diamond box considering the last 5 tracks on CD1 are in the same order?

I think so

I've got the original promo 12"s from 1982, Trevor's version of Instinction on the promo is called the re-re-mix

oooh, just thought maybe there might be some promo remixes put out again.. that would be cool, some remixes to promote these reissues.
I know some people don't like remixes, but that would be cool for more Spandau mixes.

Hello everybody,

I'm new in this forum as a "writer" but I'm reading the post especially of the News/Reissues with much interst since many years. I'm a fanatice for New Wave / Synth Pop / New Romantic since the glory days of the late 70s/early 80s. 2010 seems to become a very interesting year for me because of the reissues of the Duran Duran debut album, the Buggles Adventures album, a new John Foxx rarities cd and also my favourite both Spandau albums Journeys and Glory as Deluxe editions. The tracklist of the Diamond Deluxe looks perfect in my opinion. But as some sort of a completist I had wished that Journey would also include the B-side versions of "To cut a long story sshort" both 7" and 12" single. And I think the 12" version of Musclebound is also slightly different and should have been included, too. These versions seem to be missing according to the official tracklist, but maybe I'm the only one who cares.

Cheers,

The Instinction 12" on reformation 3cd is that the re re remix version?????

Incidently Cut a long story short b side isn't on the Journeys remaster (shame) the b side of the 12" is the same length as the 7".

She Loved Like Diamond Instrumental is missing, so is, sadly the T Horn remix of Instinction from the single (as stated above)......overall a fab looking collection and I'm drooling at the thought of it...

Aren't there two B-Side versions of "To Cut A Long Story Short"? I think the 7" b side is 3:20 min and 12" b side is 3:56.
Well, I have to check again.

If I remember rightly the 12" mix of Musclebound is the same as the album mix.

But yes, there are two versions of the To Cut A Long Story Short b-side mix.

That I didn't know, I'll have to check, but I don't think I have the 12" version of that b side........

I very much hope those last 5 tracks on disc one are the ones from that Diamond box set especially the 8.03 mix of Chant No 1.

From all I know about the Diamond Deluxe tracklist from various sources I'm pretty sure that the last 5 tracks on disc one are the remixes from that Diamond box set.

If not I would be more than disappointed.

The last five on disc one are from the Diamond box set, I do have a copy of the box set and I assume these are the ones.........

I do have both versions of the Cut A long story single.....phewwwwwwww thought I didn't.

Anyway these new remasters along with the Duran ones are gonna be the dogs...............

I'm really looking forward to the Diamond remaster. Don't really care for the Duran ones but will keep an eyes out for Arcadia. What Spandau should've also done is release a definitive 2cd singles collection spanning their entire career.

I think there have been enough Spandau best of's over the years, for the purist and completist like me and others these are long overdue and worth the wait for the b sides etc.....
Anyway to recap what BigMan said, the Trevor Horn single re-remix of Instinction looks to be the one on disc 2 of the upcoming Diamond remaster, since the concensus is that the one at the end of disc 1 is the remix from the Diamond box set..

btw, that version has already been remastered on the Produced by Trevor Horn 2CD
