Is there any cd which includes the Tony Mansfield 12" version of Take On Me?

Maybe they ought to release a cd with all the 80s 12" mixes.

A-HA are a very under rated band. Their tunes + 12"/mixes are pretty good.

Looking forward to them.

THANK GOD!!! I am so excited about these re-issues. HH&L is probably my favorite album in the world and I welcome any remastering and bonus tracks.

Looking forward to these releases. I used to have 45 RPM Club, Scoundrel Club EPs etc, but had to sell them all when I fell on hard times.

In my opinion, Scoundrel Days is a better overall album than Hunting High or Low but the title track HHOL and Living A Boy's Adventure Tale are two of my favorite tracks of all times. Maybe I missed it but was there a tentative release date?

Although I really like Scoundrel Days, I always found it to be a drastic shift from the first album. They are just one of many bands of the 80s who began as a synthpop/electronic band, won over fans with that music, and then basically tossed the synthesizers aside. After purchasing "The Living Daylights", I knew it would be my last A-ha album. They had gone from new wave synthpop to pretty generic pop music. And although it was a trend to break from the 'new wave' label as the 80s progressed (Berlin, Pseudo Echo, Tears for Fears) there were plenty of artists who did not make that drastic shift, like Vince Clark, the Pet Shop Boys and New Order.

What about their albums from the '00s ? I think that those are amongst their best.

I feel Scoundrel Days was a more mature sounding album than the first and i think they were maybe trying to shake of the teenybop image at the time. The first 3 tracks on Scoundrel Days are brilliant and I've Been Losing You is in my opinion the best single they have ever released. Only thing that let's it down is Cry Wolf and that stupid Maybe Maybe song which i hope was meant as a joke at the time. Stay On These Roads was a major letdown though the follow up East Of The Sun was excellent. It's no wonder they went off the scene for several years after the poor Memorial Beach.Every album since Minor Earth | Major Sky has been good though.

I always thought "The Sun Always Shines On TV" was a cool synthpop song. It was on my 1985 mix tape, fitting nicely along side artists such as Kate Bush, Prefab Sprout and The Dream Academy.

It will be interesting to see if there are any remixes I haven't heard before.

I never heard the 12" of "Stay on these roads".

Great song.

Was the 12" good?
