Is there an email address or contact info on the packaging? The negative reviews are increasing on Amazon UK, and it should be brought to the label's attention. I have yet to receive my package from Amazon so I still haven't heard the debauchery.

I agree ! My friend got it and I went over to hear it. Shame On EMI for charging us so much money ! It seems that a lot reissues have to be bought with caution.

So are we saying that in essence, if you already have these CDs, the upgrades aren't worth it? Especially considering I pretty much have all these bonus tracks and 12" mixes on two different Spandau ballet collections?

OK, so I just got this stupid thing in my hands. I don't even know how to describe it. Regardless of the fact that there is some definite overcompression going on, the sound quality on the original album tracks sounds not unlike some low grade AM radio station. It sounds as if the source used was some old, 10th generation cassette tape. The midrange has been enhanced to a shrill level, and the drumbeats suffer from..., how can I say this. By listening to the opening beats of reformation, it sounds similar to the damage that can occur when using an auto pop removal when cleaning up a vinyl transfer. While this is not from vinyl, those dulled out beats sound the same.

The bonus tracks are only marginally better, but the compression makes them painful to listen to. It's a disaster from start to finish, and I intend to contact Amazon UK to ask for a refund. If anyone can provide an email address to send the complaint to EMI, let me know and I'll gladly do so.

Here's a grab of the 12" version of Glow. I cannot even listen to it without squinting...

I looked in the CD book and saw the remastering hack is named Andy Walter at Abbey Road studios. I emailed the "mastering" email address on the website, and requested they forward my email to Mr. Walter. I cannot believe someone would put their name on such a debacle. And these are the highly paid engineers? Can someone get me a job there?

I think we should bombard him and EMI with emails till they resolve this cock up with Journeys, seriously I can't listen it to it, it's better on vinyl and the last CD release, thou poor sound was a better option then this crap on offer

I did track the guy down on MySpace and sent a message, but I doubt anything will come of it. People don't like to admit their faults. I also emailed Abbey Road studios, but no response of any sort.

I had it confirmed last night that this same guy remastered Diamond. While others are saying Diamond sounds fine, I don't doubt for a second it is turned loudly and compressed to hell.

I'm very concerned about the upcoming Duran and Arcadia CD's. I hope this man had nothing to do with the remastering. I see the guy who remastered Rio is named Steve Rooke. While I was fairly satisfied with Rio, I do hope for consistencies sake that the remastering on the new reissues is at least similar.

I started posting basic 1 star reviews on Amazon UK, based purely on the remastering. Things are so bad lately. Between the Buggles MP3 CD, as well as the Visage and Spandau CD compressions, I'm fed up.

Rio was dire, as was the 2001 remaster. Check out the samples of the first album and tiger on amazon, both are dull and lifeless. Just keep the original CDs.......

The samples on amazon are low fi compressed MP3, and not a reflection on the CD version...I hope
