Random Hold & Nine Ways to Win CD release

Random Hold & Nine Ways to Win CD release

Postby Danielwaver » Fri Mar 19, 2010 6:31 am

For those who were hoping a CD release of Nine Ways to Win record, it's been released on CD for a while now, however a bit tricky to notice as it was put on the second disc of the Random Hold CD, "Differing Views". I guess you all are experts in the field and already know the connection between the two bands. [:D]

Now while I am happy with all these CD re-releases, I feel like a loser at the same time as I have coughed up lots of hard earned cash on the vinyls of these sort of records before and now I am paying again just to upgrade the sound. [8D]

Thanks for separating the news out from the reissue daydreams thread for everyone to see. I was going to do it in a few days if you didn't, I just didn't want to steal your thunder since you knew the info first.

I actually checked out more of the Random Hold releases since I wasn't aware of them at all. Good mega-early 80s stuff so I ordered another of their CDs as well.

It's the complete NWTW album with the exception, oddly, of the song "Waltz." Also includes the remix of "Painting Over Cracks" (but not the remix of "Close To You.")

To my ears, the sound is excellent.

If it had also included a remix of Close to You and not deleted that LP track, I would buy it.

I am happy to have rest of the songs in CD quality, so I ordered a copy. Never mind the one missing track. [:D]

Oh my, thank you Daniel for the info. Talk about hidden treasures. Now can we stick the two Slow Children albums as a bonus disc on the next Pal Shazar album. [:)]

WALTZ is on the disc. It's track 3 on disc 2, but for some reason it titled "Windmills". But it's the same exact track.
