Anyone receive their copy yet and if so...how in the hell does it sound? I know a lot of us have been waiting for this release with a bit of skepticism.

I'm waiting for mine to arrive. I have read the band were directly involved in this reissue and selected the bonus tracks.

Jack Rabid of the Big Takeover wrote the liner notes and already lists it in his monthly top-10...if you've never heard this CD before, do yourself a favour and pick it up and play it loud or with a good set of headphones...every home should have one!

I a-b'ed mine to the original and I don't hear a difference, but it's nice they threw on the bonus tracks they did. "Spin" and the other b-sides & alternate versions would have been nice too though...

Eh...To my ears it sounds a little tinny and I wish the bass was a LITTLE more prominent in the mix...just a little.

Catherine Wheel's Ferment and Ride's Nowhere are tied for my favorite album of the 1990's.

I'd like the reissue to be a bit louder, but I'm pretty happy with the sound as is. The bonus tracks are ace, especially the Mission Of Burma cover.

[/quote]Wow, I love both of those albums too. I'll have to look for the reissues.
