Welllll, judging by the Jimmy Kimmel appearance, i thought they were awful. Love the metal box era stuff but think i will skip the PIL tour unless i see / hear further to change my mind.

5/19 NYC show moved from Terminal 5 to Music Hall of Williamsburg - a very good thing.

Damn, damn. Great show. Moved to a smaller venue. They played pretty much 2 hours straight. If I happen to die from a dislodged blot clot, it would be from "Religion". The band was tight, Lydon was very entertaining [:0]. I doubt US venues will get the spiel we got before he launched into "Warrior" [:D]

It's like being there. Very cool. It makes me think why isn't there a dedicated live music channel??

Seeing them tonight in Atlantic City. From most reports, the shows have been great. Hope tonight is no different. Geez, I think the last time I saw them was in 89 with New Order and the Sugarcubes!!

Being optimistic here, I heard the show was half full, is that true? I'm hearing good things as well. Kinda wish I went, oh well!

Yeah, half full would be a good estimate. Hell of a show. Played for about 2 hrs or so. John yelled at security for not letting people come down front. Then the fire marshall threatened to shut down the show because people were blocking the aisles. A bit chaotic at first what with the security and then John berrating a drunken fan at the foot of the stage. Highlights were definitely an extended Flowers of Romance, Religion and the stuff off Metal Box (Poptones, Memories, Albatross, Death Disco and Chant)

For whatever reason, I didn't jump on-board for any of the US dates. Maybe because they came along with an absolute slew of new wave-ish revival acts back in May. By complete accident, I happened to be in Amsterdam the night PiL were playing at the historic Paradiso (site of signature Joy Division, Stones, Nirvana, etc gigs). Awesome venue. I was frankly amazed at what a fantastic performance it was. Lydon was so freaking vital and intense. And no, I wasn't stoned (yet), though quite crocked on their high-alcohol beer. Right up front in the mosh pit for the "Public Image" encore was the highlight. [:p]
