Spandau Ballet True & Parade

Spandau Ballet True & Parade

Postby omar » Sat Mar 20, 2010 1:12 am

Any more info ? I know that there's to be 2cd/dvd sets coming in June. After the Journeys.. Disaster i'm getting scared. Does anyone have a list of any unrleased stuff from the 1883-84 era that wasn't on the Reformation set ?

From the singles this is what is unreleased on Reformation:

True:
5.29 Live and Let Live (12” version)
2.42 Communication (edited club mix)
3.39 Lifeline (edited remix for USA)
2.01 Lifeline (a capella)
3.54 Foundation (live)

Parade:
4.39 Paint Me Down (recorded live)
5.02 To Cut a Long Story Short (recorded live)
5.27 Highly Re-strung
6.34 True (live version)
5.03 Gold (live version)

Maybe there were some demos or anything, though I doubt it, they were not a very prolific band when it comes to the actual songs.

After reading the negative stuff on the Duran Duran cds I'm dreading the new Spandau cds.

and according to: http://www.emimusic.nl/external/microsi ... nkort.html
Parade will just be a 2CD... seems like they are afraid to release quality stuff on dvd, why improve quality with a dvd if you can get another Walters remastering-miracle...

Far more exciting than Spandau in that listing is seeing a 2 CD remaster of The Great Rock n Roll Swindle....

Yes they do look good but will they sound good ? Not if a certain Mr Walter is involved they will probably sound like shit. I will hold off before i buy these till somebody has posted a review about them somewhere.
