I wonder if there's enough material to release CDs of the following bands:

The Shine
The Word
Hoorah Boys Hoorah

Hello there , have some background on Hoorah boys Hoorah , you probably know that the lead singer was Ade Ornage who played in Gary Numans band for sometime. I used to be in a band that did some recording with Ade and Supported hoorah boys Hoorah. I thought they were execellent. They released a 7" and 12" on EMI "is this what you promised me". They were set to release a second track ( I think it is called "it doesnt have to be like that" but they were then dropped from EMI . I have the 12" dance mix white label of that which Ade gave me as I thought it was a great track. They also released an independant 7" "this is how the west was won". (have that as well) Dont think they recorded much else to be honest which is a real shame. They definately had great potential . Helene who was the girl in the band went on to do some tv music I believe as well

count me in on those... best would be with an added dvd of tv performances, the videos and as each tour had a kind of vhs-release back then, to have those on the dvd as well...
And what about his solo album Joy along with mixes for I Know and Follow My Heart ? I'd also like to see a possible Bananarama anthology (1981-88) with all the mixes that're not on cd yet.
[/quote]

Yes, that's what I want too, King-wise.
As for Bananarama, the complete DVD video collection would be great if combined with the reissued 1988's "Greatest Hits" compilation.

Hello there , have some background on Hoorah boys Hoorah...

The second single was called " I Never Thought It Would Be Like This" and they recorded ten demo tracks for an album. I spoke with Ricky who played in the band...
I've got his mail address, if someone wants to know, just let me know...

Thats interesting news Philipp does he have access to the demos as I would love to hear them , were the demos with EMI , Ade only spoke about the 12" remix of the track you mentioned , never asked if they had also done a 7" version or a b side (the 12" i have is just a one sided promo ). Have not spoken to him for a long time so would be interested if Ricky has the demos on a CDR

The Art Of Noise have a double best of called Influence coming out later this year.

Depeche Mode have released their videos on numerous occasions the last being The Best Of Videos in 2006 which has a lot of the early videos on it.

That's fantastic news. I just hope the Art Of Noise compilation will have additional DVD of all the promo videos they have ever made.

Yes, I do know about that already. But I'd still like to see "The Singles 81-85" getting reissued with a bonus DVD of all their early videos sorted in chronological order just like it was a case with the video tape anyway.
The compilation you were thinking of was "The Best Of... Vol. 1". So I'm quite convinced Mute Records will release "The Best Of... Vol. 2" that will include all the early as well as later videos that have been left out of "The Best Of... Vol. 1", sooner or later.

i don't know about anyone else, but i would really love a remaster-reissue version of lonely is an eyesore with accompanying videos.

that would be my second dream come true (now that a-ha is being re-issued).

i also cannot wait for the omnibus editions of the three this mortal coil albums. that should be rad!

A couple months ago Uncut had a nice cover feature on Orange Juice. At the end of the article it announced the next month would feature reviews of the reissues of their three albums and EP with bonus tracks. Two issues later, nothing, those teases. Nothing from Domino, which I thought were the ones that would do it. All I could find is this: http://soundofyoungscotland.blogspot.co ... ramme.html

This thread pretty thoroughly covers my want list. Nice to see some of the early mentions have since been released. This is an ongoing list I've had, and I haven't double checked them all, so a couple may be available:

Bad Manners – Loonee Tunes (Magnet) 80
– Klass (MCA) 83
The Blue Aeroplanes – Bop Art (Abstract UK) 84
Cabaret Voltaire – Extended Play EP (Rough Trade) 78
Clock DVA – Thirst (Contempo) 81
Close Lobsters – Headache Rhetoric (Fire) 89
Empire – Expensive Sound (Poorly Packaged Products) 80
Feedtime (Aberrant) 85
– Shovel (Aberrant/Rough Trade) 88
Fingerprintz – The Very Dab (Virgin) 79
– Distinguishing Marks (Virgin) 80
– Beat Noir (Virgin) 81
The Full Experience – Aura Meets Scratch (Blue Moon) 79
Human Switchboard – Who’s Landing In My Hangar? (IRS) 81
The Jazz Butcher – Sex And Travel (Glass UK) 85
Steve Mancha – Detroit Soulman
Modern Eon – Fiction Tales (Din Disc) 81
The Motors – Approved By the Motors (Virgin) 78
Mutiny – Mutiny On The Mothership (CBS) 79
The Neats (Ace Of Hearts) 83
Fred Neil (Captiol) 67
Michel Pagliaro – Time Race (Audiogram) 77
Pink Military – Buddha Walking Disney Sleeping EP (Last Trumpet) 79
Psychic TV – Force The Hand Of Change (Some Bizarre)
Rip Rig + Panic – I Am Cold (Virgin) 81
– Attitude (Virgin) 82

All three of Rip Rig+Panic's albums got reissued a few years ago on the Australian Progressive Line label with tons of bonus tracks, but they are sadly all OOP. "Attitude" was even a double CD with Float Up CP "Kill Me In The Morning".

I'm not sure whether Ricky has the demo tracks on CDr but he has several tracks on mp3. As Hoorah Boys Hoorah unfortunately didn't release so many singles, I guess he is also in possession of the demos...
