Alex is that a spoiler (tee hee) , I know a lot of people say this on the forum but it is really great that there are people out there like you getting these CD's onto the market. What with a lot of the documentaries that have been appearing on telly in the UK like synth britannia and the recent heaven 17 penthouse and pavement doc it is really great that this period in music is getting the respect it deserves. I only wished the charts now had the diversity of music that was around then. Saying that there is a lot of good synth music out there at the moment and if people have not listened to the following they should check them out ( MESH , VNV nation, Covenant , Assemblage 23 , Apoptygma beserk, ) all really good. ........... now if suffer the children or wonderlust is on the new CD I will think santa is doing a mid year delivery 8-)

Thanks, we try! Still can't reveal the final tracklist until all the masters are in my grubby hands, but it is safe to say a few people will be able to scratch some names of their wish lists...

I own all 6 volumes. I've been looking forward to volume 7 since the release of volume 6! I'm so buying this! I love these compilations! I really hope that there are many more to come!!!

I would love to see Tears For Fears' "Shout [U.K. 12" Version]" on CD as well. The "U.S. Remix" always makes the cut on every compilation, including Tears For Fears' own collections and reissues.

There is so much material out there that never even made it onto cd.I think great credit has to go to Alex for these compilations. A lot of hard work goes ito them.

Looking forward to the tracklisting as well.

Hi, the U.K. extended version of Shout is available on this U.S. cd (and if I'm not mistaken on this cd only) : http://www.discogs.com/Tears-For-Fears- ... se/1584728
BTW : there's one for sale on discogs. Better sit down before you check it out... [:D]

Wow. LOL. I had no idea that it ever made it to CD. Too bad that it's such a rare one! Go figure! All this time I had just assumed that the original master tapes to the U.K. 12" of "Shout" had been lost, hence why it hadn't been included on any Tears For Fears releases. I wonder how much longer we will have to wait to get it on CD again? What a shame! I'm not paying $325 for it either. ;)

According to http://www.tearsforfears.de/tffdisco/shout.html
Shout UK remix is only 7:40, and the MFSL Big Chari CD's version clocks in at 8:17. US remix is 8:00.

However, http://www.tearsforfears.de/tffdisco/sftbc.html
claims that the MFSL is the UK remix, with some weirdness. Hmm ... accurate, or just a mix-up of the version?

Hi,
I can confirm that it is the UK 12" version. Apparently the intro and outro are a tad longer. Complete original master ?
Note that Change 12" on The Hurting remaster is a litlle bit longer as well.

The UK remix of Shout also appears on Relax the Ultimate 80's Mix Vol 1 which you can pick up for next to nothing here http://www.amazon.co.uk/Relax-Ultimate- ... B00000B9E5 though it segues into the next track but that album is brilliant. I always preferred the US mix of Shout to the UK one and the one on the MFSL Big Chair CD is the UK version.

On the TFF topic : according to the same tearsforfears.de, Mercury U.S. released a Special Club Mix of Change that is a 'slightly remixed extended version'. See here, bottom of the page : http://www.tearsforfears.de/tffdisco/change.html
Anyone know how 'slightly different' this mix is ?
Is anyone willing to share in the Obscure 80s Central section, perhaps ?...
Thanks in advance.
