I must say that i had to eventually get this as i love King and held my breath when i put the cd on. As it turned out i was neither impressed or disappointed. The main album is slightly compressed but fairly listenable. The bonus tracks obviously highlight this re-issue (especially the Youth mix of Won't You Hold My Hand Now)but most of us already have them. At least no vinyl noise etc was present unlike that crappy Belouis Some cd. As this is the only in print version of Steps.. i would encourage King enthusiasts to purchase a copy and give it a listen. The previous remaster of Bittersweet was much better though.

having the original pressing of this CD and a couple of other King compilations, the only track on this reissue I don't have is the b-side "Never Ending". Can anyone tell me if this song is any good, what other song of theirs it might be compared to, etc? Or if it's just filler (or even an instrumental for that matter). Thanks.

Never Ending is a simple piano based accapella ballad, sounding like These Things (reprise) from Bittersweet.

thanks omar. That's exactly the kind of description I needed. Definitely not going to purchase the CD just for that track.

Never Ending is a piano based reprise of Endlessly, it is the only b-side not available on the 90s reissue of the album (which I have). I also have the live b side tracks as mp3 too if anyone is interested.

What I'm looking for is a crystal clear version of Won't You Hold My Hand Now (85 Reasons to Hold My Hand mix) I don't think it has ever appeared on cd. I've got a vinyl rip that is awful.

I have the one from a Oglio that is out of print, so i am sticking with it and not Cherry Red, plus nothing different on it as well.
