now if your kids or the elderly want to know how a computer works use a boat on the water as the example
PC is like a boat with holes in the hull.as it starts to sink attach air bags to the hull sides & inflate(servie packs) then start the upgrades .these are the dead weight bricks but as they counter the effects of the hull with holes & it begins to resink so now add more airbags to the other airbags to raise up the hull agian so now even more upgrade bricks can be added but it will sink again so now add more airbags to off set the sinking so more brick upgrades can be added.....
I think Mac would just fix the holes.
I have an older computer & when it came online some 90+ upgrades came on board & it began to freeze up a lot.The security program I use they gave me a free registry editer which cleared out every upgrade & to go through the list size of add/remove programs the microsoft section alone scrolled like the list of names from the black plague & both world wars combined ! but after the editer was done that list is clean. And it no longer has issuies !
I think most of what microsoft does is to justify their jobs security rauther than come up with viable solutions that actually work! go ahead & count off just how many upgrades are in your add/remove file
! like how a dog chases his tail Microsoft thinks they can create a faster running dog & never addresses the boats hole!
Next computer i think it time to pick an Apple! That at least comes from something that has roots in the ground.
I think now for movies the Terminator belongs in the "Fantascy" section cause if a Skynet did come online it would instantly upgrade freeze - reboot - upgrade again-crash- reboot-upgrade again- freeze - crash etc till it would no longer function !
Now the other real thing for PC is the amount of money they want for a windows program vs what they charge for a registry editor (which should be included in windows) is the testoment to what they really are all about!
I enjoy what a computer can do but the very creators of the programs are counter active to what really goes down - THE HULL eventually
