mY FRIENDS SUCK

Postby coop41 » Tue Apr 12, 2011 3:22 pm

I have a lot. Endless list of buddies who ask me to sports events (huge sports fan so I love it) and every other type of event but no one who is even close to the types of music I like. I mention a concert and they look at me like I am from another planet Cute young employee who has similiar tastes as do her friends (all going to Joy Formidable) but how awkward is that? I'm her boss. Why won't anyone eveen go check out a new band??? I just don't get it. So frustrating.

I'll go. Been wondering about this "TJF" (if you will) that some of the cool kids have been talking about. Show them how proper pogo'ing is done!

Ugh, I totally get what you're saying !
In my case, only my students (high schoolers) remotely approach cool new music awareness, but there's no way I'm gonna attend shows with them ! But yeah, I keep trying to suss out who among my friends wants to check out new stuff (or even old stuff).

<p align="justify">Fr...ends? Wassat?[}:)] Just as long as they're smart ("street smart"), intelligent ("book intelligent"), and/or have a rad sense of humour... AND be willing to hang out from time to time, they can have widely-divergent tastes in Pop media from mine. It's unfortunate that, nowadays, most individuals I encounter here in SoCal are so narrowly-focused on themselves that they seldom bother with anyone else[V]

Coincidentally, I hung out with a group of people from Mexico at the OMD concert in San Diego. It's been many years since I've talked to normal latinos I had almost completely forgotten how great it was[}:)]
