New Book on SoCal Punk Scene

Postby NuWaveRx » Sun Apr 03, 2011 3:22 am

Just finished "Kids of the Black Hole", a memoir of a kid who grew up in LA in the late 70s and early 80s and experienced the beginnings of the SoCal Punk scene first hand. Not the most riveting prose I've ever read, but for someone who only listened to these bands several years after the fact, it makes for some interesting history. Recommended.

I forwarded this link to my stepbrother, who was a Florida punk during this time.

Also, the Amazon "Customers Who Bought" section showed a book on Husker Du:

Loved that band. Going to have to read this one.
