Finally, a compliment! Never thought the day would come.

PS You forgot racist, sexist, xenophobic, fascistic, baby seal killing, bigoted, anti-semitic, war mongering, baby raper.

Do I have to do all the work around here?

So you're saying Katrina wholeheartedly agrees with the political bent, policies and actions of every entity that has paid her to use her song?

How do you know she doesn't?

Logic. You probably also believe Kat & The Waves agreed with the political bent of every band they opened for, loved with the opinions and practices of the management of every arena they ever played at and were in total alignment with the policies of every radio station that played their music too.
Ripping Bachmann is just convenient because it is economically feasible. If by doing so it actually substantially reduced the amount of revenue Katrina received, I doubt she'd be so vehement.

Hypothetical.
So is OJ's guilt in the killing of his ex.

Hypothetical is that Kat would protest and have the same courage of her convictions if big money was being paid.

This is a moot point anyway. When you are best known for one of the most lightweight guilty pleasures the 80s had to offer, your political gravitas is pretty limited.

The real issue here is that people feel so threatened by a viable, conservative, female presidential candidate. Many of the same people who flocked to the polls to vote for Obama in the name of equality are now frightened out of their minds when an intelligent, capable woman steps up to run.

Well, aint that America.

More "tolerant" liberals whining. What else is new?

Pay those crybabies their residuals, I'm sure then they'll be happy to endorse this.

It has nothing to do with $$$$$$..
the Re pig Licans have plenty of that..
Bush/Cheney are still washing the blood off all the dollars from two
lies based, manufactured wars that they started
after getting shoved into office by their cronies in the
Supreme Court..
Creative people, writers, actors, musicians, are usually
thoughtful, passionate, thinking people..
so they're certainly not going to support Re ThugLicans
or Tea Baggers(the'dj' certainly knows all about tea bagging, I'm sure)

Any chance you could stop writing like a high school sophomore?

(My apologies to high school sophomores who can actually write well without sounding dipshittingly toyah-esque.)

I will put my two cents in and say that I think Katrina and the Waves has every right to distance themselves form this wack job. Who gives a crap that they have gotten royalties from the song in the past?

With that said, (and people may get mad...sorry) I am going to lock the thread as per schwenko's request.

Sure thing Schwenko![;)] This thread has devolved into a political pissing match again and even though I've been a bit of an absentee landlord as of late, I've been informed that some here have nothing better to do than chase certain members down across unrelated threads for no other reason than make things personal.

In any case, we all pretty much know where most of the frequent offenders stand on both sides of the political yardstick and that ain't ever gonna change, so why bother baiting each other? Live and let live fer fuck's sake! It takes all kinds, but tolerance is in damn short supply these days. Really, what's the end game here? To get the other person to leave the board and declare some kind of childish victory? I already had one member leave recently because of this bullshit behavior.

I have to consider whether it's worth keeping this board running when it's being held hostage like this?[xx(]
