With a CV resembling a 'Who's Who' of the music industry, remixer and producer, Phil Harding's career spans over 30 years... from recording The Clash in the 70s, remixing and producing top club/dance and pop acts in the 80s and 90s, to recently working with Lamont Dozier in L.A.

In the 80s, working out of a basement studio in the Pete Waterman-owned PWL studio complex (with production partner Ian Curnow), Phil Harding club mixes and productions dominated the dancefloors and club charts on an international scale.

On this long-awaited, double-CD package (with 24-bit digital remastering) are 25 sought-after classic 80s remixes and rarities...

>> **Motown stars**
DIANA ROSS | THE FOUR TOPS | MICHAEL JACKSON WITH THE JACKSON 5 | JIMMY RUFFIN

>> **Hit 80s artists**
ABC | HOLLY JOHNSON | EIGHTH WONDER & THE PET SHOP BOYS | IMAGINATION | BASIA (MATT BIANCO) | BLOW MONKEYS | FIVE STAR | GODLEY & CREME | RICK ASTLEY | DEAD OR ALIVE

>> **Comprehensive colour booklet**
of in-depth research and analysis, mix commentary from Phil Harding, photos, an exclusive interview with Phil Harding and Ian Curnow together, as well as with artists featured on the compilation.

With a selection including 10 US Dance Chart hits (4 reaching No 1) and UK club and singles chart successes too numerous to mention (and many never-before-on-CD),'PHIL HARDING CLUB MIXES OF THE 80s' is a must-have release for 80s club, dance and pop devotees alike.

A major national PR campaign planned (with retained PR agency and Phil Harding himself) to promote the CD and book.

HAPPY.[8D]
FINALLY rare remixes, unreleased.
I wish vol.2.[:p]
It's nice to see an original tracklist.
Today compilations are without flavor (nothing new cd that's heated).

Thanks Phil Harding! I buy.

From the Facebook entries, this album took a lot of work licensing these tracks. Hope this does well for a volume 2.

Update... "The long-awaited, double-CD package (with 24-bit digital remastering) of 25 sought-after Phil Harding 80s remixes and rarities is out next week!

Order now at Cherry Red for the chance of a signed copy from Phil Harding (signing as many of their pre-orders as possible)!

Many tracks have never been on CD before (track listing below) and all have from-studio-tape digital remastering... Dead Or Alive 'You Spin Me Round' (Murder Mix) is the first time on CD from a recently-rediscovered original Marquee Studios tape (higher quality than ever used/presented before).

There are 6 unreleased tracks we're very pleased to have been able to include... 2 Rick Astley unreleased/unheard mixes ('Never Gonna Give You Up' and 'She Wants To Dance With Me')... and 2 Rick Astley unreleased Harding/Curnow productions 'Stay With Me Tonight' and 'Til The Day That I Die'... Along with the stunning unheard/unreleased Jimmy Ruffin track 'Truly Yours', the New Vogue Version of Sinitta favourite 'Body Shopping' is an unreleased planned re-launch for 1990 with a 'Vogue'-style club sound...

The CD booklet is packed with new research, commentary and interviews on an unprecedented scale (equivalent to an extra 5 chapters-worth if included in the book)... In addition to an in-depth new interview with Phil Harding and Ian Curnow together on 'the making of' these tracks and beyond, there is commentary on each individual track from Phil and interviews with 10 other artists/industry personnel involved with these tracks back-in-the-day... Join the book/CD Facebook group (found via the official website www.pwlfromthefactoryfloor.com) to find out each of these mystery guests as they are announced every day up to the release date..."

I'm really looking forward to the Blow Monkeys "Digging Your Scene" mix on cd. Also i thought the "Murder Mix" of You Spin Me Round had already appeared on compilations in the past?

Dead Or Alive 'You Spin Me Round' (Murder Mix) is the first time on CD "from a recently-rediscovered original Marquee Studios tape (higher quality than ever used/presented before)."

So I guess they mean the sound quality has never sounded this good on CD, not that the mix has never been on CD.

22 out of the 25 tracks are not produced by Stock Aitken Waterman.

There is no Kylie, Jason or Sonia.

That's rather the point.

It's the club mixes team of the PWL studios here.
