<br>I wonder why all the videos on DVD haven't been made widescreen? That's the only objection on this rather brilliant compilation I have. Various television channels play them widescreen, and not reduced for space.

I imagine that 4:3 format is the standard that they were filmed in, it's possible that when you've watched them on tv, they have been "modified"
I'd rather have them as intended personally

Yes, that could be the reason indeed. I'll try to play with formats on my LCD and DVD player and see what happens with the videos next. If nothing would happen then I'll stick with zooming (X2) the picture which is not that bad although it's not as sharp as it should be.
Do get your point about the intended picture format.

Here is a list of DVDs that contain the 'Hey Little Girl' video by Icehouse:
Pop & Wave Clip Mix No. 1
Still Alive - Wave To The 80's
Bild - Hit-Clips Der 80er Vol. 1
Promo Only Alternative Dance 80-83 Vol.2
I think I remember the Pop & Wave version was the best quality.
soundstory, which one do you think is best?

hmmm not sure which source it was, but it was clearly originally a vhs rip at some point as it has Icehouse Hey Little Girl written at the beginning of the video
Does that help??
