NWO Top Albums poll?

Postby deevo0 » Mon Mar 26, 2012 5:02 am

Hi ... I noticed that there was a top 80 NW albums poll in 2005:

Anyone up for organizing another poll? I thought Frau did a great job with the top songs poll (hint, hint).

I recall it being the least interesting poll. There's great diversitiy in songs, but the album choices seemed pretty predictable. There were certainly interesting ones chosen, but the repeats of the top ones made the list all too predictable. My own opinion of why you might not (or might, who knows!) get a full response.

Agree with Frau.

There may be a few changes since last time but they are likely to be minor ones. I would struggle to list eighty albums for my list since it would rule out a lot I like.

Mm yes - being it is based on retrospective music - it's unlikely to change a great deal (in fact it shouldn't if it's a worthy list)

I would like to nominate "Doot Doot" the album for this list.

Yeah, maybe it'd have to be 'top 25 CD remaster reissues since 2000' or something like that. Or top 25 vinyl-only albums that need a CD release. (Come to think of it, I thought I saw a post like that recently.)

But if Frau ain't on board and doing his cool charts, forget it :)
