Propaganda - Noise And Girls Come Out To Play - A

With 19 tracks on it, there must be a lot of short segments on it, I suppose.

Besides ,this compilation is not really a 'Best Of' because the sticker logically implies. It's a compilation of already released tracks with never before released tracks. Gladly there are some 12 inch gems on it which fans were waiting for.

I just got mine today. I haven't listened yet. The booklet is rather ordinary, a few photos, 1 page of ordinary liner notes. What is interesting is that it includes a couple of B-sides as well as several unreleased tracks/versions, and that last page that contains the track credits give the recording dates for several tracks. More later/JW

I have now updated my discog, so that all info from the booklet, including running times, is included. Like on the previous Propagande CD some info in the booklet did not match the info on the back of the CD case, so I had to use heuristic methods. I hope it's correct enough for all you fans out there. /JW

Good work Jonas. Seems like the Propganda releases are not victim of the loudness wars. See http://www.dr.loudness-war.info/index.p ... rch_album=

It has some of the best dynamic range ratings for remasters in recent years. If I purchase the FLAC's of Wishful Thinking and Secret Wish Deluxe, is this new compilation still worth getting??

"Is it worth buying" is always very difficult to answer since it's about subjectivity - music taste, how important it is to have only slightly different versions, or unreleased mixes, B-sides. Personally I think it's so cheap (I got mine for less than 7 Euro incl postage!) that it's not necessary to think hard and long about whether to buy it or not - time is also money :)

Also I'm a sucker for the packaging format. Does anyone know if it's in a jewelcase or a digipak like the Wishful Thinking cd ?

I just wish they released a proper remaster of "pMachinery (Connected)" instead of dozens of edits of Machinery. The one we got to hear on the German relase of "Outside world" was a disaster: a great song with lowest sound quality (as taken from a tape).

I'm loving all of the Propaganda that has been released in the last few years. There are so many variations of Secret Wish songs, I can't possibly claim to be able to track them all, but I love that they keep coming. P:Machinery (Alpha) is really cool and sounds way ahead of it's time if it's truly a 1984 outtake

Maybe one day soon, they could be coerced to release their unfinished album from 2001 or so :-). It actually sounds better now than when it was first leaked on the internet.

"No Return" still sounds fantastic.

Just got my copy today. It's definitely worth it. Excellent remastering. Hope ZTT/Salvo keep up it with the reissue program.
