If it has as many demo's/unreleased stuff as Penthouse and Pavement......then it's gonna be an awesome boxset[8D]

For anyone in the UK this has a very attractive price at Sainsbury's. Unfortunately they don't ship internationally: http://www.sainsburysentertainment.co.u ... =E11128696

That great and far superior version of Let's All Make a Bomb is from the US version of Luxury Gap so why can't it be on here? REALLY pissed.

You can check the prices here:
http://www.discog.info/CD-shops.html

I believe play.com is the cheapest this time, 10,99 Euro incl postage.

I will comment on the tracks later. /JW

I bet they'll use the 2006 remaster for this.

I'm sure they will. I find this a rather pointless release one track that's not been on CD before isn't much justification for buying this.

As a USA fan, the first H17 album I bought was "The Luxury Gap" in 1983, so the "new" versions of "Let's All Make A Bomb" and "Song With No Name" are firmly implanted in my own head as part of that album's track listing. When I finally heard the original versions on "Penthouse And Pavement", they kinda made me cringe lol. So yes, it's a shame the new versions have never been included on an official CD release.

HOWEVER, Beatport.com does have both of those tracks available for purchase as WAV files!

I know it's not as good as having them on an official CD, but at least they ARE available in full CD quality. I pounced on them the minute I discovered it!

"We Live So Fast (Extended Mix)" has only ever been released on the "Temptation" 3" CD-Single in 1988. It did appear on "Endless" but it was mixed in with the other tracks rather than being the complete version all on it's own.

"Crushed By The Wheels Of Industry (Extended Dance Version)" has only ever been released on the 1995 "The Remix Collection" CD as far as I know.

So those 2 tracks are somewhat rare to find on CD, especially for an official Virgin release.

Once again, no USA 7" remix of "We Live So Fast" which kicked the original's butt imho :-(

Crushed By The Wheels Of Industry (Extended Dance Version) and Let's All Make A Bomb (New Version) are both on the CD of Endless. We Live So Fast (Extended Mix) is on So8os Presents Heaven 17 though it is copied directly from Endless. So basically it's the new version of Song With No Name that keeps getting ignored considering this is the second reissue of the TLG in 6 years. It's really annoying that they haven't bothered to remaster both Pleasure One And Teddy Bear with extra tracks granted they aren't the best of albums but even so.

The digital downloads of P&P and How Men Are were given extra tracks and you can download FLAC's of these from various retailers if you look around. However Luxury Gap has never had that many bonus tracks and it is a shame and this new set does not include everything. As far as I am aware there are no demos surviving from TLG sessions apart from the original Temptation that Glen found years ago. That isn't even on there. And do we really need those 90's remixes?. Demos exist from How Men Are and I hope to have the demo tape soon.

I don't care about Teddy Bear but Pleasure One would be cool. Perhaps with audio of their performance on The Tube, along with some demos?
