Here is the original AB-CD version of Soil compared to the reissue.

Buy the old Caroline CD if you can. That's all you really need. As a mega-fan I bought the bundle, but it's really only for the die-hards.

Mine came in as well. Looks/sounds great. I'm a bit surprised by Eighties' graph because it doesn't sound clipped to me, but what do I know.

A couple of odd errors in the CD booklet: a lot of the lyrics to 'Smiling Monarchs' are omitted, and Factory records is spelled 'Fagtory' (at least I hope that's an error...)

In case anyone's still wondering, the bonus CD includes the six tracks from The Other Side of the Fence that aren't included on the Eureka CD.

All in all, a great reissue, and hopefully they'll work on Resin soon.

I kind of have to agree with Barmy. I have both cd's and the Caroline cd sounds better to me too. Not that this remaster sounds bad or anything, just maybe a litte too loud for my taste. Still a great album though and I am glad they decided to release it.
