I got Vol 2 just now (it only took 4 weeks from Switzerland to Sweden - Prioritare.....yey!). I must say the sound quality is just fine, no complaints. I beleieve it's from vinyl, but a lot of care has been put into making the sound great. I have never heard these tracks sound better. And they probably didn't sound any better way back then. Yes it could have been mastered from the original tapes, but then again, perhaps they are long since lost? Or perhaps finding them would take years and years? I don't hear any vonyl crackesl at all, at least not when I quickly listened to the first party of all songs. /JW
