The new Simple Minds compilation coming out March 25th as a 2CD/3CD edition.

The latter is just awesome! Finally all the Simple Minds singles on one place!

Yes, the 3-CD looks quite good. I kind of hate buying all these songs again (and really, I could just download the 2 new songs) but since they are my favorite band, I will be buying this.

Totally pointless release and apart from the two new tracks you could make that compilation up yourself quite easily.

Wow. I like the track listings, especially how they are in chronological order. I will be purchasing the 3-CD edition for sure.

Love the band and will be purchasing the 3-CD set...this alongside the Killing Joke 3-CD equals some fantastic listening!

There are other carrots other than the 2 new songs...Jewler To The Stars and Space were only available on the long out-of print Silver Box, which featured the never released LP, Our Secrets Are The Same as Disc 4.

The only missing singles seem to be Jungleland (double A-side w/Ghostdancing) and Night Music (from Good News From The Next World, released as promo in Italy).

All-in-all, a flawless set and tidy place to have all the singles (and would be singles) in one place!

I suppose we need to see some timings and other details, but - off the top of my head - has the 7 inch remix of Sweat In Bullet ever been out on CD?

Does anybody know if these are all actual single versions / 7" edits?
If yes, I would buy CD 1 in a minute.

It'd have been nice if they'd chucked Children of the Revolution on there too, just to tidy that up

The 3CD is a pretty great overview of their career. As someone else said, now we just need to wait and see if there are any rare edits or single versions included. If it's all straight album tracks, that would be pretty boring. Also, this needs a big fat booklet with lots of information and photos of all the album and single sleeves.

Moni... There ain't no pleasing you is there? It needs the single mixes pure and simple. With that, i'm also there with the 3 disc set. And regarding the two new tracks they may be tied in on sites like I tunes as album-only as they so-often are. I'm still after 'Get set' by Yazoo but that's tied in and i sure-as-hell ain't paying about £11 for one track. Ridiculous!

Wot... no "Lovesong 1992"? Disaster!

Only joking. This is great. Only hope the correct single versions are used. That 7" "Waterfront" is a bit elusive. They didn't bother to use it when they reissued "Now That's What I call Music One" on CD.

I was pleased with the recent 5x5 box set even though i had the remasters of those i still bought it to get the bonus tracks and though the lack of information in it was a bit disappointing nobody could argue with the price of it. This will be their 3rd best of so far and how many times do we need to have these tracks repeated. I would much rather they released another box in the same vein as 5x5 from Sparkle In The Rain through to Real Life with bonus tracks. I wish they had given the go ahead to The Platinum Collection that was supposed to have been released in 2006 with this traclisting

Disc: 1
1. Belfast Child
2. Mandela Day
3. Biko
4. This Is Your Land
5. Kick It In
6. Let It All Come Down
7. Let There Be Love
8. See The Lights (7' Version)
9. Stand By Love
10. Real Life
11. She's A River
12. Hypnotised
13. Glitterball
14. War Babies (Bascombe Mix) (Full Length Version)
Disc: 2
1. Don't You (Forget About Me) (Extended)
2. Waterfront (Extended Mix)
3. Speed Your Love To Me (Extended Mix)
4. Up On The Catwalk (Extended Version)
5. Alive And Kicking
6. Sanctify Yourself (Extended Mix)
7. All The Things She Said (Extended Version)
8. Ghostdancing (12' Mix)
9. Oh Jungleland (12' Version)
10. Big Sleep (Live)
11. Once Upon A Time (Live)
12. Book Of Brilliant Things (Live)
13. East At Easter (Live)
Disc: 3
1. Life In A Day
2. Chelsea Girl
3. Changeling
4. I Travel (Extended Mix)
5. Celebrate (Extended Mix)
6. The American (Extended Mix)
7. Love Song
8. Sweat In Bullet (Remix)
9. Promised You A Miracle (Extended Mix)
10. Theme For Great Cities
11. Glittering Prize (Club Mix)
12. Someone Somewhere (In Summertime) (Extended Mix)
13. New Gold Dream (German 12' Remix)
