If you're a completist . I think for the casual fan the 2cd set is sufficient .

Somebody needs to change the product description on amazon as Saints and Sinners isn't on this. I'm going to give this a miss as a bunch of radio edits holds no interest for me at all.

I may just get the 2cd version as I still have the Best Of from 2002.

Unless you import it like I did! I ordered my copy of the 3-disc set from grooves-inc.com yesterday. I paid $21 (U.S.) for it. It's currently listed for $19.86 in case anyone is interested. It states "limited-clamshell box".

Isn't the U.S. only getting a 1-disc version of "Celebrate" come May? Either way, I wasn't willing to wait. :) I'm totally loving "Broken Glass Park" and its video.

Mine arrived today and it is a thing of beauty indeed. Clamshell boxed, individual card sleeved discs, booklet and poster. Sounds okay so far as well. It puts the previous "Best of" to shame as the cheap shoddy package it was.

Only odd things were, for a CD that is so full of first-time-on-CD edits (and hooray for that) it doesnt include the radio edits of Home, One Step Closer or Mandela Day. But it is indeed otherwise a perfect release

Thanks for the info. I suppose that it proves once again that record companies can never get it exactly right.

Not really in this case...Sign Of The Times was a track from The Amsterdam EP and the band has chosen Let It All Come Down to represent this EP. An edited version of Sign Of The Times appeared on a split single w/Sydney Youngblood's If Only I Could.

It's a bit harsh. But it IS the best Simple Minds compilation so far. Yeah, a couple of tracks aren't single versions but as they're later songs I'm not too bothered.

Good to see you on here Gary! There should be a thread on this over at Roobarbs!

Yes, that's the case. "Let It All Come Down" was the lead track off "The Amsterdam EP" and it was natural for the band to chose it to represent the EP indeed.
Nevertheless, the best Simple Minds compilation released so far, darn right!
