All three albums to be released by Cherry Red in May. These were released years ago by the much-beloved (if only by me) bootleggy Progressive Line label in decent-sounding but likely vinyl-sourced CDs.

These purport to be band-supervised from original master tapes. What isn't clear is whether the Float Up CP side project will be included, as it was with the Progressive Line reissues.

One of the most unique, if sometimes grating, post-punk bands.

Thanks for sharing...where did you find about about these? Definitely not on the Cherry Red website - they do a terrible job of informing about any future releases until the last minute.

Also, do you have the Delta 5 See The Whirl release on the Progressive Line label?

It's on amazon.co.uk.

I grabbed every Progressive Line CD I could get, unfortunately missing a few of their excellent post-punk singles series. I do have the Delta 5, which sounds quite good.

According to hmv.co.jp there will be a "post card set" with the 3 albums bought together.. The PL reissues do sound a bit thin in the mid-range although I don't hear any vinyl noise. The Viva La Bop reissues were apparently official but I don't have any of those so no idea how they compare in terms of sound. No bonus tracks on them though.

Based on a quick look the Japan set has the same track list as CR. Some brave soul will have to compare these with the Cherry Red. RRP would sound HORRIBLE brickwalled as they are already a bit of a harsh band. I'm quite happy with my PL's (and agree there is no audible evidence of vinyl sourcing, just hard to believe they got master tapes as many PLs are clearly vinyl sourced), but except for the Float Up CP bonus they don't have much or any bonus tracks.
