To my amazement i found on one of my favourite sites, a Bonus Cd (as a download at 320kbps) of 'English Electric' with 9 demo versions on it. I'm listening now and it's a great insight to how some of the tracks sounded at another point in time. Anynoe know anything about this is it from the expensive box edition? So glad to have this

Thanks for reply moni but i looked into it after i posted that and found out what it is. Firstly the Record Store Day was a 5 track 10" picture disc comprising of A1: Please Remain Seated, A2: Time Burns, A3: Decimal, B1: The Future Will Be Silent, B2: Atomic Ranch. Nothing special. The Demos that i mentioned were from the Box sets although complete contents of those cannot be found via there webstore as i presume that they all sold out now. There were £45, £50, and £75 options for the box sets! So i'm extremely happy that someone decided to post them as a free download! Nice Demos too

http://www.thisisnotretro.com/john-foxx ... den-single

John Foxx, the original Ultravox frontman, has remixed their next single, "Dresden", that's coming out May 20th.
He will also support the band at their forthcoming UK shows.
Great team-up I say! [:)]

That should be an interesting mix. It's an excellent song, but I do hope they consider "Stay With Me" as a single. I literally had goosebumps all over the first time I heard it and had to immediately play it a second time! Just GORGEOUS, and gotta admit, a nice change to hear Paul on lead vocals.

Remixing by John Foxx shouldn't be too hard since the album already sounds like a John Foxx album...
Metroland e.g. sounds exactly like Like A Miracle.
I'm not saying it's a bad album. But it's recycled OMD, with a John Foxx sauce...

Another animation. And I love it as much as I did "Metroland"! [:)]

mmmmmmmm ! i can see what you are saying but I actually think they have done a great job by trying to mix elements of most of their era's , I think Metroland is more of a tribute to Kraftwerks europe endless , to me Helen of Troy should be their new single

I think they are in a difficult position on what do they do to appeal to old fans and how can they push things forward , I think they have done a good mixture , experimental with the snippets inbetween like Dazzle ships , choral sounds like A&M , pop sounds like their later stuff , a track with Paul singing and a great update of kissing the machine , its not all good but i think its the best thing they have done in a long time

Fun fact: Vinny Vero was the guy behind the Living In Oblivion series.
