Cock Robin

Cock Robin

Another one of my favorite bands from the 80s is working on a new release, Cock Robin. They were never strictly new wave, but I guess in part because of the synth element to their music they were tied in to a small degree. I always remember a reviewer describing them as combining the hillbilly harmonies of the Louvin Brothers with the sonic sound-bed of OMD. I always thought that was a good description.
After Here Through Midland is one of the great overlooked classics of the mid to late 80s. Don't know much about the new release yet.

When they reformed and returned in 2006 with I Dont Want To Save The World, it was a pretty solid album, but the follow up Songs From A Bell Tower from 2010 was just superb !
