I have stopped buying stuff from Amazon US because of the shipping costs £10 is really taking the piss.
After a couple of listenings, I can fairly say that this compilation is very well executed. Sound is not over-compressed or brickwalled.

However, I would have preferred a booklet instead of a fold out cover.
The obi-strip can be easily removed (optionally).

There is ONE thing that I'd like to have confirmed here in the near future. On my copy, the 2nd track from disc 2 (Some People (Dub) seems to have a little audio distortion (crackling sound) after 3 minutes and 52 seconds.

Because all the tracks are from the original master tapes, it's no vinyl pops or whatever. It lasts for about 1 second and I think it's probably only my copy. So I would like to know if anybody has the same experience or that it's only me.

I managed to get hold of scene release for this as mines still hasn't arrived and yes the glitch is present where you mentioned though it's very hard to be critical as the rest of it sounds brilliant.

The rest is brilliant indeed, but because there is confirmation of the glitch now, there is no hope for getting a clean copy anywhere me thinks.
I've pre-ordered this Paul Young, the Faith Brothers - Eventide and So80s 8, so fingers crossed. The Armoury Show is en route. Worst Cd reissue is still Journeys to Glory. Can't believe the Spandau web site still promotes it.

Is the Faith Brothers - Eventide CD brickwalled? I wanted to know because I was thinking of buying it, thanks.

Back to topic i have received my Paul Young this afternoon. Played first 9 tracks so far of disc one up loud at work (in the car) and sounds great. Never even heard that scratch mix of Come back and stay before. Apart from a bit of scratching sounds pretty similar to the 12" if i remember correctly. Sad that the original 12" isn't on there too though. i just presumed it would be. Had to wait an age for CD to come back down to a reasonable price on Amazon. I should've ordered in May when it was around £8. Stayed at £12 for about 7 weeks then recently came back to £9.31
