No info yet but it's on Amazon as a future issue. The date is shown as Aug 26th but as we know with Cherry Red these release dates get pushed back.

That Burning Bridges cd was nicely compiled but a bit too loud. Wonder if the same will happen to this one.

I'm sure it will if the same people are involved.
Then again, sound volume is a matter of taste too.
And conditioning (what you are used to hear in the past). /JW

Not only too loud but also on the harsh side. It is tough on my ears.

This is great news. Love the Burning Bridges remasters for the tracks but yes, it's a little loud and a tad bid harsh. Glad someone is releasing these regardless.

About the sound. We never will know how it sounded on the original master tapes. The mastering to vinyl at the time always meant compromising with the frequencies and dynamics. We are also subjected to the personal preferences of the mastering engineers of today. Or even hearing issues. The best thing was if the original producer along with the main musicians gathered and did the CD mastering together. But then again, with age even a top producer's hearing is affected negatively.

About Pete, here is his reply: Jonas, nice to hear from you, the information I have is August 20! Which tracks do you suggest? Best,
Pete.

So, I will send him my suggestions.

TWO HEADS TOGETHER.

and i guess the stuff from "everything and more"-
isn't there an instrumental and a 7" single mix of "what in the name of love" left? i think that's all there is, unless there are UK mixes of album stuff that surprises us like on "burning bridges"-

If this is done properly , I hope that there could be a reissue of the two Climie Fisher albums as well . Edsel's reissues from a few years back were not remastered and had no 12" mixes.

The obvious tracks are
In the Name of Love 3.26 (original 1983 B-side version)
(What) In the name of Love (Arthur Baker single version) 3.50
Two Heads Together 3.46 (B-side (What) In the name of Love)
(What) In the Name of Love (Arthur Baker Extended Mix) 6.03
(What) In the Name of Love (Arthur Baker instrumental) 6.00
But I doubt he wants them all. So I will suggest a few more from the previous album. More soon.

Apparently, it's done (from Cherry Red's site):

1. (WHAT) IN THE NAME OF LOVE
2. NEW HEARTS
3. SACRIFICE
4. EYES OF A CHILD
5. ONCE IS ENOUGH
6. NO FLOWERS PLEASE
7. ANSWERING SERVICE
8. ME I SEE IN YOU
9. FLYING SOLO
10. FLAG OF CONVENIENCE BONUS TRACKS

11. (WHAT) IN THE NAME OF LOVE (EXTENDED VERSION)
12. SACRIFICE (ARTHUR BAKER 12" VERSION)
13. IN THE NAME OF LOVE (BYRNE & FISHER MIX)
14. TWO HEADS TOGETHER
15. FUEL FOR THE FIRE (DEMO)
16. BABES IN ARMOUR (DEMO)
17. SACRIFICE (DEMO)

In a thread regarding the "Burning Bridges" remaster, I mentioned that I adjusted the EQ of each track (selectively reduced the low frequencies a bit - they were far too thumpy and invasive) and after doing so every track sounded amazing, better than any previous Naked Eyes CD release. Shouldn't HAVE to do that, but it was worth the effort and I will gladly pick up "Fuel For The Fire" and do my own tweaking again (if I have to). These are two excellent synthpop albums that were beautifully recorded and it will be a wish come true to have them both in expanded versions in my collection.

The single edit of "(What) In The Name Of Love" would be great, but if this is Cherry Red's final tracklist, then the issue is still fairly easily resolved. I re-created this edit for myself several years ago using one of the "Best Of" cds. It's just a couple simple edits easily done with audio editing software. Again, ideally, we shouldn't HAVE to do this ourselves, but the fact is, we CAN if we really want to. I've re-created dozens of single edits that have yet to be officially released because they are simply cut n paste edits of the original album or remix versions. Guess it helps that I enjoy doing it as well - bit of a hobby.

Good to see the extended versions of both "(What) In The Name Of Love" and "Sacrifice" will be included - both are fantastic mixes. Can't believe the "Sacrifice" single was shelved back in '84. I do hope the instrumental remix of "(What) In The Name Of Love" can be included!!! I've done a vinyl transfer/digital cleanup of this track which sounds amazing, but was REALLY hoping to get it from the master tapes. So that's a disappointment if they can't get it.

"Two Heads Together" would be a super treat! I remember playing that immediately after playing the A-side nearly every time. Just a fun little tune. Plus, it's never been available on CD before. After the "Burning Bridges" remaster, I knew that if "Fuel For The Fire" were to be remastered with "Two Heads Together", I would automatically buy it for that track alone. Sure hope it's from master tapes????

I'm not a big fan of demos, but at least these include 2 unreleased songs, so that is potentially pretty cool.
