Hi Fred,
I seem to recall this thread but wanted to refresh my memory. Do you have a link for this thread, a search didn't seem to come up with anything for some reason.

Thanks.

The single edit of "(What) In The Name Of Love" would be great, but if this is Cherry Red's final tracklist, then the issue is still fairly easily resolved. I re-created this edit for myself several years ago using one of the "Best Of" cds.

hey fred, can you post this somewhere? since this isn't going to be on anything it would be cool to hear your edit!

OK, here it is in FLAC:

thanks! i hadn't heard it before, so basically it cuts out some of the breakdown stuff at the end- i actually like this version even better. concise, and right to the point. thanks so much for posting it, and great work recreating it!

Incredible news! I had asked Cherry Red if this reissue would happen and they responded all those months ago that if Burning Bridges sold then they would green light Fuel For The Fire.

Well, it seems Burning Bridges did sell quite well so here it is!

I'm not too fussed about the loudness - I'd rather have the reissue a little loud than have no reissue at all.

I think I will just stick to my home created discs using the Naked Eyes Best of discs. They have all the album tracks.

Me too, but I have to have the "Two Heads Together" b-side so I've preordered it.

The sound quality is probably better on those 2 Best-of's than it will be on this reissue, though.

Is it just me, or is the version of No Flowers Please on this CD differently mixed compared to the previous CD versions? I believe it's different vocals takes here and there, as well as some echo effects etc. I must have heard the original at least 100 times, and when i heard this version something was just different.... /JW

Can anyone comment on the sound quality? Is it brick-walled like the "Burning Bridges" 2012 remaster? Same mastering engineers? Thank you in advance.

It sounds fine to me, but then again I have discovered that some people claim CDs to be "brickwalled" after the fact that I have, in my own mind, enjoyed the sound. Perhaps I just like the Music as such too much to think about those aspects? So I guess that makes me unqalified to say "OK". No this is not irony or self pity, I'm just saying. If I do notice things it's usually tiny signs of vinyl rip noise, etc.

Yes, this is definitely "Brickwalled". I'm not a sound engineer but I can tell the difference between the cd and original LP. You can use Audacity to see how badly it's been brickwalled. Here's some more info:
