ZTT remix track listing:

Blank & Jones will soon release "so80s presents...ZTT" a unique project that sees the German-based DJs remix a bunch of classic tracks originally recorded for Trevor Horn's ZTT Records. These are not your standard remixes however, since to keep them authentic-sounding only the original multi-track tapes are being used for the project – no new sounds are being introduced.

We are delighted to exclusively reveal the full track listing to the two-CD compilation. Blank & Jones have ditched the original idea to have a 'megamix' on the second disc and the whole package is devoted to standalone remixes. Fans of Frankie Goes To Hollywood will be delighted to read that all seven of the band's UK singles are included, alongside album tracks "Black Night White Light" and "San Jose". Three tracks from Propaganda and the Art of Noise's "Moments in Love", complete the 13-track collection.

Propaganda - Duel
Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Rage Hard
Frankie - Black Night White Light
Propaganda - A Dream Within A Dream
Frankie - Relax
Propaganda - Dr. Mabuse
Frankie - Two Tribes
Frankie - Warriors Of The Wasteland
Frankie - Welcome To The Pleasuredome
Art Of Noise - Moments In Love
Frankie - The Power Of Love
Frankie - Watching The Wildlife
Frankie - San Jose

All of the remixes above are dubbed "Blank & Jones so8os Reconstruction" and the running order is not final. Exact timings will follow but most of the remixes run for around 10 minutes with "Pleasuredome" an epic 17 mins!

Don't get me wrong, this project is a great idea and I'm hopeful that it's really good, but am I really the only person who is just a mild FGTH fan and not a rabid "Please give me 30 different releases of every version and track ever put to tape by Frankie" type?

This is less a ZTT remix project than an FGTH project with a few other non-Frankie tracks thrown in.

With as much as ZTT has managed to get it's fingers on, was it too much to think maybe there would have been a bit more variety?

Plus, ONE measly Art of Noise track only, and you pick Moments? Hmmm.

Are Propaganda more popular in the UK/Europe than in the US where they're practically unknown? Not commenting on quality or anything, just saying.

To be fair, it's Blank and Jones's thing, so I guess they could release whatever they want. But there's still SO much out there that hasn't seen the light of day, and so many great tracks that don't even have a single good remix. Did tracks that weren't even major hits that already have a dozen or more remixes need one more?

I guess we'll find out!

I'm gonna pass. I already went on SDE and commented. Blank & Jones should've not bothered with this after all. ZTT represented so many incredible artists aside from FGTH. Maybe they should've done a seperate Frankie cd and then a compilation of everything else.

Yep, too much Frankie, and not enough of the rest. Isn't that the same reason why ZTT went to shit? I'll buy it if the price ever drops to <10EUR.

I was hoping for p:Machinery and Beatbox remixes and I agree with the persons that say there's too much Frankie on it.

Hopefully the final track listing will change a bit of that.

I agree 91 Minutes of Frankie is pretty much a dominant.
GEEZ --- That is a disc and and half worth.

looks live reviews are mixed.
================================
http://www.amazon.co.uk/So80S-Eighties- ... B00JM6BI40

with some people really like them, and others saying they are too long,
boring, and not done well.

i'm still getting it, and should have it by next week.

a very detailed positive review here:
===============================
http://www.superdeluxeedition.com/revie ... tt-review/

read all the comments to understand more from the creators about
decisions made for it.

also, there are lots of previews of the tracks out there, streaming to
check out if you want to hear them.

i'm really enjoying almost all of the frankie mixes, i've never liked power of love,
and i'm not interested in the art of noise, or propaganda mixes.

Ok,

got the digital version to listen to before the cds get here.

i like all the frankie mixes. they are very faithful to the originals, but are mostly different
enough so that they are interesting.

all of them, except the power of love, which i've never liked except for the techno mixes from 2000.
this is just the same boring slow song it's always been.

i really like the songs that don't get remixed, do you know the way to san jose, black night white light are
good too. and finally another mix of watching the wildlife.

welcome to the pleasuredome is very epic. relax, two tribes, rage hard, and warriors of the wastelands
are all well done too.

i recommend it for any fans of frankie.
