I consulted the "International Discography of the New Wave" Volume 1982/83 by B. George and Martha DeFoe, which has 3 different entries for The Kids.
One is a London band, with just a single release from 1981, one is a US band (Stratford, CT) with an EP released in 1981, and one is:

"Punks from Antwerp, now being described as power pop"
14 releases from 1978-1982, including albums, singles, appearances on compilation albums

Ludo Mariman- voc, gtr
Luk Van De Poel-gtr, voc
Dani De Haes-bass
Cesar Jenssen-drums

googling the names I come up with

The Kids were/are from Belgium. Their first album was released in 1977 on Phillips Benelux. Second album was called "Naughty Kids". Both have just been reissued on a single cd with bonus tracks last year. They were Belgiums first successful punk band, and have been going in one form or another ever since, changing their style to a more mainstream pop/rock sound as opposed to the 70's punk style they started out with.

There was a norwegian band called The Kids. It`s probably not them, but they were huge here in Norway. Two of the members later formed the soft-heavy band TNT. By the way, one of the members son has been world champion in skijumping.
