God, I can't believe I've missed this once cause I had to study for Molecular Biology. [:(]But I'll guess I get a second chance.[:D]
This is one of the most interesting cover bands I've heard... they make really good versions of DM's songs (new and classics).

Anyway... if I ever get the chance to make a big party, I'll so have them playing.

Do they do any original tunes? I know thats not usual for a cover band, but they have some genuine talent. It would be a shame if they didn't try to carve their own identity.

Something I always felt odd about: why most markets in the world have their popular music recorded primarily in english. I understand the business aspect of it, but I get much more out of Kraftwerk's, Telex's or any other foreign bands music when it's in a tongue that's natural to them, instead of phonetically sung (one of the few gripes I have about Italo-Disco. The vocals nearly always seem awkward). It hasn't hurt Rammstein's success to have the vast majority of their recorded output in their native language. Wish more groups were able to follow their example.

Sorry, sis. I got off track on another of my tangents. Thanks for the site.

The answer is quite obvious...because that's where the money is.

I just saw two unexpectedly good tribute bands in Newport Beach yesterday. Catch them if they are performing near you!

From my blog:

Catch Blasphemous Rumours(Depche Mode tribute) and The Cured (The Cure tribute) tonight, January 6, 2006 at Hogue Barmichaels, 3950 Campus Drive, Newport Beach, just across from John Wayne Airport and a block north of the 73 Freeway. This is an all ages show and admission is only $10.
