Help needed for Aussies on Countdown Site

Postby TragicMagic » Wed Jan 24, 2007 11:38 am

Hi Everyone!

This ia a bit of a call for help from all Aussie New Wave and Duran Duran fans!:

Countdown (A classic Australian music program from the 70's and 80's) have a poll on their website for upcoming tour artists.. one of which is Duran Duran. Now; sources tell me that there is no link between countdown and a tour and if DD tour Australia, it will be separate from this event, HOWEVER, it is the principal!! [:D]

We also believe this poll has been rigged in favour of the band "Taste" who'm nobody in Australia has even heard of.. even though I think the band are Australian.. yet somehow they are leading by miles!

There are heaps of us voting for Duran Duran, however the % is moving veeeeeery slowly!

here is the link:

http://www.countdown.com.au/index.asp?

Any votes appreciated!! A thousand thanks to anyone who helps out!!

Dude, I don't mean to be a Debbie Downer here, but when even the Bay City Rollers are clobbering your ass, it's probably a lost cause.

Well.. we have to try! [;)]

The main point is that we have our doubts to the accuracy and truth of the poll.... BCR and Taste have been at those % for weeks and weeks with no movement. It is possible they were loaded from the start to try and represent most likely candiates for the tour.

The Aussie Duranies just want to see a fair representation up there, so I am appealing for help from all New Wave fans as a chance to see Early 80's New Wave victor over early 70's bollocks [:D]

Thanks!!

Well, I do like to root for the underdog. Excuse me a sec -- I'm off to go vote for Air Supply.
