David Sylvian 'Weatherbox' (UK edition 1989)

The admission price is steep: around $100 for the (used) UK version. The Japanese version has a couple extra bells and whistles (extra book etc) and jumps to around (used) $175.

The greatest thing about this release is that it was the first time you could get the remainder of "Gone To Earth", the tracks that were sorely missed on the initial CD release of "Gone To Earth'; 'Silver Moon Over Sleeping Steeples' 'Camp Fire-Coyote Country', 'A Bird Of Prey Vanishes Into A Bright Blue Cloudless Sky' & 'Sunlight Seen Through Towering Trees'.

Another big, big plus is the inclusion of 'Steel Cathedrals'.

I wish they would have added 'Blue Of Noon', and especially the extra wonderful track 'Promise (The Cult Of Eurydice)' which was on the Japanese version of 'Secrets'....

All Sylvian tracks seem to be available on some new re-mastered-re-mixed-re-re-release...but at the time, us cool kids had to scratch and claw.

This is beautifully packaged (Mills) and really set the bar for 'box sets' to follow
