Cold Cave

I have to put in a serious recommendation for Cold Cave. Very interesting post-punk sound. Shades of New Order as well as some very experimental and atonal elements. Really amazing sounds!

I'd been weary of giving much props to these guys. When intently listening to their Love Comes Close album, I felt a bit too conscious of the New Order links, even including the lead singers not-great deadpan voice, ahem. Maybe I was subconsciously worried about being too obvious or predictable, but fuck it. After listening through the album in my office as background music a few times, I've really warmed up to it. They should have made my 2009 albums list.
