The Redskins - Epilouge

The Redskins - Epilouge

Postby glokstadt » Wed Mar 10, 2010 7:54 pm

Fans of the skinhead band The Redskins will be pleased with a new CD of their brand of fast-paced soul/power pop-style tunes will be out in a few weeks featuring rare & unreleased tracks entitled Epilogue on Insurgence Records. Cherry Records passed on the project when they didn't hear back from Warner Records, who own the back catalog now, so some rare b-sides will be missing from this CD.

The digipack will be released on St. Patty's Day (March 17th) with the CD avail on xxx.

Track listing is as follows:
Peasant Army
Lev Bronstein
Lean On Me
Unionize
Keep On Keeping On (demo)
It Can Be Done (demo)
A Plateful Of Hateful (demo)
Don't Talk To Me About Whether (recorded live in Germany 1986)
Strike (demo by the pre-Redskins band No Swastikas)
Stickies (demo by the pre-Redskins band No Swastikas)
Unnamed (demo by the pre-Redskins band No Swastikas)
The Most Obvious Sensible Thing (from the Redskins 1986 unreleased Peel session)

According to the reviewer, their former band, No Swastikas is a straight ahead new wave band!

Here's a taste of their coolness, it's a cryin' shame they never made it bigger in the '80s, most likely 'cause their were left wingers.

Their great album from 1985 seems to be OOP: Neither Washington Nor Moscow, so I'll have to post some time in the near future...[:D]
