Hello-I haven't been on here in a long time. I'm thinking of starting a Live 365 focusing on College Rock (whatever that was) from about 1979-1990 it's real birth and growth period. I'm going to use some old CMJ CDs to populate it. I guess you would have to call me "80s alternative' as opposed to "new wave" whatever those labels mean. I'm hoping to capture some of the diversity of that era.

Excellent idea, profpike matey! Wishing you all the best in the future with it. But just do not be a VIP station, please! I used to listen to the New Wave 1976-86 and Acid House Classics 86-91 ones with so much passion until they decided to be VIP about a year or two ago. It made me very angry because I didn't want to pay to continue listening to them. Fortunately the DarkSynth, Club 80s and K-ROQ 80s Classics ones are still available for free.

Well thanks, I do want people to enjoy it, so I would like to keep it free. I have about 10 "core" artists which are kinda based on my old college radio playlists: Plimsouls, Ramones, Cramps, X, Fleshtones, Jam, Clash, Undertones, Echo, Gang of Four.
I plan on mixing in some of the "mainstream" artists that got play on college radio early on, just to give an idea of the breadth.
Besides the "core artists" and CMJ artists, I plan on getting some faves from back in the day as well as some stuff I've found about since.
