If this is a subject well known to the Outpost's Intelligentsia (or British Contingent) I apologize.....

I was browsing in a Barnes and Noble yesterday and what to my wondering eyes should appear in the magazine racks but something called Classic Pop Magazine (subtitle: eighties, electronic, eclectic). On the cover of this British magazine was Duran Duran, Pet Shop Boys, and Depeche Mode. So $15 later...I brought it home, read it cover to cover and...

Holy Shit.

Modern interviews with Martin Fry, John Taylor, Blancmange, Pet Shop Boys (big article and review of the "Top 25 PSB singles of all time"---calling Marv!), Trevor Horn talking about ZTT, James Marsh discussing his Talk Talk Album covers, Laura Levine and her photography, articles on Madness and Kraftwork, Re-Issue Album reviews, etc, etc.

It short it was a New Wave info overload and it rocked.

YMMV depending on the bands--this is the first issue I've read but I'm guessing more info about Smash/Star hits type bands than more underground or obscure music. Still I'll probably up for an actual magazine subscription (I know, in 2013? How long will it last?) for the first time in years
