Looks like a decent collection, and it's compiled by Nick Laird-Clowes, but I wonder if they used the single mix of "The Love Parade"...

7. Ballad in 4/4

8. Girl In a Million (for Edie Sedgwick)

9. Power to Believe

10. This World

11. Here

12. One Dream

CD Two

1. Indian Summer

2. Lucy September

3. Hampstead Girl

4. The Demonstration

5. Living in a War

11. The Last Day of The War

12. Sunrising

[omar]

The US single mix you mean?

[omar]

The new track Sunrising is not listed. However its good to know that they've decided to work together or is it just Nick on his own under the DA banner?

The only thing I want from Dream Academy is the US single and instrumental mixes of 'The Love Parade'. Other than that, no thanks.

The Instrumental of Power To Believe...finally! Of course, most of us know the instrumental from the flashback scene in Planes, Trains & Automobiles. Too bad the instrumental of Please, Please, Please wasn't included. Will still likely pick this one up!

I want the instrumental of "Please Please Please ...", as heard on Ferris Bueller .

[Sean]

Pretty cool compilation. Missing "Gaby Says" and definitely the instrumental to "Please Please". Will pick this one up though.

Nice looking cover of the band.

I've written to Cherry Red twice and asked them to re-issue Dream Academy's back catalogue, and both times they replied they were interested and would look into it. Maybe if this collection sells well they might be motivated to do so. That way we could have almost all the remixes, bsides and instrumentals.

Release date changed to the 6th October according to amazon.

[omar]

Amazon US still says July 29th.

It appears there are two different labels releasing this Edsel and Real Gone Music. It will be bloody annoying if this is released in America on the 29th July and the rest of the world have to wait till October

[omar]

Maybe the UK release has been pulled back because they decided to alter the track listing . Who knows .

But you will get the chance to hear of screw-ups before committing money .

That's true though if that happens i will probably cancel my order and just download it for free instead.
