I signed as well. That is a wonderful album-- shocked it has never been released on CD proper-- right both Y records and Arista versions would be optimal.

I'm far more familiar with the Y records version, but I can see why the band would prefer the more polished Arista version. Great sleeve notes too, very nice package.

Well admittedly I missed the fact that it was Vinyl remaster. I already ordered it and on further thought I would have bought it anyhow.
All though not being a master" remaster' i am sure theydid a damn good job on this Vinyl to Cd reissue.Hopefully if they get some sales from this they may search harder for the masters :-) but for now this is finally a non-bootleg release of this spectacular totally underrated album--.Although I do have to add thatit being a 2 disc issue I am very surprised they did not put the B-sides "Gated Joy" and "Bricks and Whistles" and the Mercy dash Mix in there. Still very excited about this product,

Please post a review when you receive it. I'll happily order one if it sounds ok.

I sent an email to Barry Andrews and his response was this

"as to the Vinyl Issue.
Firstly the masters are long gone, who knows where so ...
..we got pristine vinyl, the most expensive deck and stylus available to humanity
and after transferring it, had our mixing/mastering guru Stuart Rowe of Lighterthief (who
worked on our last three albums) do his magic. I can vouch for the improvement. It's punchier
and brighter without being excessively compressed.
And it's a lovely package and you get a live gig recording."

I received mine today. It looks nice - factory pressed silver CD - it is in tri-fold cardboard much like the 2 CD Erasure Violet Flame CD exception being that the CD's fit in cardboard slots I've seen this presentation before and don"t care for it. It is easy for the CD's to fall out and the cardboard slots tend to wear and sometimes rip. I am still so happy to have this wonderful album in an official CD format, I will give it a listen tomorrow read the booklet and give you my opinion of the vinyl remaster sound. Beware though I fear I am not the best ears for review as I just bought Thompson Twins - Participation/Set on Edsel and I thought it sounded pretty good-- i do not know why many people hated the sound on it. I have both of those albums on vinyl and I feel the CD remaster was excellent. I never had the bonus material like the early Squares and Triangles 7" or Shes in love with mystery 7" and so i do not know how they were perfected - they probably just used vinyl for that but the albums sounded quite good, but that's me. I just bought it a month ago -- maybe it was redone? who knows --
