Bit disappointed i must say. Not up on my 'where that appeared before status' even on the Madness track (which i should know as i have everything they have ever done including all remasters) but there's only a things here that are good for me. Primarily Paul Hardcastle: 19 (The final story). I find the So80s series always seem to miss the mark and end up in my 'want at a decent price' rather than 'must have'. Shame

There's not much good stuff on there. They should've made the whole thing Blank & Jones present Italo Disco!

Rather weak tracklisting indeed... Simply Red, Sade, Joe Cocker... nothing for me, personally (would rather place them on a suck80es compilation). Not surprised though... As long as the names of 80es experts and true music gods B+J are at least printed on the cover, I am happy  :D

Well although it is an unusual mix I have not heard many of these mixes or some of these artists.
Glad that they put the full Yello - Live at the Roxy ending the CD.
I think there is some welcome discovery here.

Yeah an unusual mix of stuff but at least it's some stuff that isn't already on every other compilation out there. I am personally excited about the Debbie Harry, New Order and Matthew Wilder tracks.

I did buy volume 8.

I will see if this one drops in price before considering buying it.

Bit disappointed at tracklisting.

I received So80s 9 in the mail this weekend. While like many of you I was initially disappointed when the track listing was announced, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the tracks I'd never heard before. There's actually a lot to like about this volume, so don't dismiss it too quickly.

I agree with you synthboy1969. Although this volume does not have a lot of the "New Wave" bands that we had hoped for, some of the tracks were new discovery for me and sounds absolutely amazing. This is definitely one of the coolest So80's to go through because you don't expect much but you are pleasantly surprised as you listen to each track. Even the artists that you think "what the hell are they doing on this compilation" sound good. A+++ Blank & Jones

Jimmy Cliff "Treat The Youths Right" (Special Mix) was the big find for me. One of my fave 12"'s, first time I've seen it on CD.

I got it too and it is quite a grower -- unexpected likes- even from ones I thought for sure I would not be interested in. Maybe my favorite so80s for surprise value vs the expected usuals.

Where's the best place to buy this? I don't see it listed on WowHD. I'm in the USA.
