EBTG "Walking Wounded" and "Temperamental" deluxe reissues

According to Ben Watt on Twitter, the last two Everything But The Girl studio albums "Walking Wounded" (1996) and "Temperamental" (1999) will get their deluxe-edition treatments later this year.
The first, which was their most successful studio release in their whole career, peaked at #4 in the UK and #37 in the US, and spawned the singles "Walking Wounded" (UK#6), "Wrong" (UK#8/US#68), "Single" (UK#20) and "Before Today" (UK#25), whereas the latter got to #16 in the UK and #65 in the US, and gave the singles like "The Future Of The Future (Stay Gold)" (Deep Dish with Everything But The Girl) (UK#31), "Five Fathoms (Love More)" (UK#27), "Blame", "Temperamental" (UK#72) and "Lullaby Of Clubland".

Great news. EBTG's electronica phase was superb.

[Aevion93]

Thrilled to hear this. These two albums are superb and I can't wait for them to be released!

[negative1]

Unfortunately there is no way they can include all the mixes for each single and the album on 2cds. There are way too many vinyl only and promo mixes.

Oh well.

It would be nice to get 3CDs for each album... the others reissues didn't need them, but there's justification here. Lisa Stansfield, Bananarama, etc. have had 3CD releases on Edsel so it's not exactly unrealistic. We'll see, I guess... I think there will be quite a few demos.

[Aevion93]

They missed out quite a few mixes on "Amplified Heart" didn't they? I could've sworn there was more mixes of "Missing" there.

[negative1]

It's going to take at least 3-4 discs for each album, we're not going to see all of these unfortunately.

(and yes, there were 'missing'' mixes of missing..

[hypnohighball]

I hope there's more to these 2 reissues than 100 remixes of singles from the albums!

[moni]

Sadly there weren't any b sides from the singles released from both these albums just 100s of remixes. Unless they dig up some unreleased stuff for these reissues i will be avoiding them as they certainly don't need any remastering of any kind.

[negative1]

some demos would be nice.

however, the other so-called deluxe editions were hardly that.

you might as well just buy the album and a few singles and be done with it.

this is just another cash grab for people that want something to get, without it being comprehensive or complete.

too bad for them.
